Services)
These services assist adults in living in their
own home, apartment or shared service setting.
We develop an individualized plan of supports for each person based
on his or her needs and preferences.
Direct support professionals provide as much or as little service
as needed. We do not expect
people to fit into a “program” and instead arrange services to support
the life and lifestyle desired by each person.
Some people need services 7 days each week and 24 hours each day. Others may have a 24-hour plan of care but actually need
fewer direct service hours each day or week.
Direct support professionals can assist with finances, health,
medications, appointments, community living, home maintenance, and social
opportunities as well as cooking, shopping, and safety skills.
We act as a bridge to natural supports whenever possible so that
people are supported in maintaining or developing meaningful
relationships. Our role is to
do whatever we can to assist a person in living life to the fullest.
